Terms & Conditions
- Any cancellations made within 72hrs of the hire date will be charged at the full hire price
- A deposit of £50 is due at the time of booking this deposit is non refundable and dates are not secured without this payment (A transfer of hire dates is allowed which this deposit can be transferred to)
- The remainder of the hire cost is due 3 Days prior to the date of travel
- A £100 deposit will be required on collection of the vehicle; this will only be returned in full if the vehicle is deemed in an acceptable condition by CSC horsebox hire.
- The vehicle must be returned with a full tank of fuel
- The vehicle must be clean in the cab, horse area and grooms area on return otherwise a cleaning charge of £50 will be deducted from your deposit
- Sawdust/Shavings must be put in the box whenever there is a horse on board
- The vehicle can be picked up and dropped of between the hours of 6am and 10pm from 57 west end west calder EH55 8EJ any collections before or after this time will e charged at £20 per hour
- We will contact you two days prior to hire to confirm pick up and drop off times
- The hirer is liable for any damages caused by themselves or livestock to the horsebox and CSC Horsebox Hire reserves the right to charge the hirer to rectify these damages. If the cost to rectify the damage is more than the deposit you will be invoiced for the remaining amount, (ie.cost of damages is £400 to rectify we will retain the £100 deposit and invoice for the remaining £300)
- You transport your horses entirely at your own risk you the hirer should have your own equine insurance for travelling your horse. CSC horsebox hire are not liable for any livestock transported in the vehicle
- The payload for the vehicle is 1100 kg it is the hirers responsibility to ensure you are within the payload
- All drivers must be between the ages of 23-75 (23 and 24 year olds will require a £550 deposit)
- All drivers must have less than 6 points on their licence
- We will require a copy of your licence, DVLA check code and two forms of address before collection
- We must receive payment from the drivers bank account to our bank account for insurance purposes
- All hirers will have access to horse and vehicle recovery the details are within the emergency contact list on the drivers side window
- You may leave your vehicle on the premises when you collect the hire vehicle but you do so entirely at your own risk
- Any equipment, tack etc that you travel with you is done so entirely at your own risk
- Should there be an accident the hirer is liable for the full insurance excess of £500 or £750 if under 25 years of age.
- Mileage that exceeds 200 miles in one day will incur a surcharge of 50p per mile
